Your kitchen size sets the base
Four size bands, each with a starting figure taken off our own completed kitchens at that size, finished to a mid-range standard with the layout left alone.

Scope decisions move it up or down
Layout, walls, finish level and cabinetry each multiply that base. Countertops, appliances and structural work are added on top as real dollar figures rather than percentages.

The result is capped by what we publish
Whatever the maths produces is held inside the $25,000 to $250,000 range on our kitchen cost page. The tool cannot quote you a number we have not already published to everybody.

Uncertainty widens the range
Every "I am not sure" makes the range wider rather than guessing on your behalf. A wide range is honest at this stage. A precise-looking wrong number is not.
What this is not. It is not a quote and it is not a financing offer. It is stage one of five, the same Instant Number anybody can get from our published ranges. Is this a quote?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. It is a planning number built from the same published ranges as the rest of this site, narrowed by what you told us. A quote comes after somebody stands in your kitchen. That visit, the plan review and the written fixed-price proposal are all free.
How accurate is it?
Accurate enough to tell you whether to keep going. The range widens every time you answer "not sure", because uncertainty is real and hiding it would make the number look better than it is. Answer everything with confidence and the range tightens to roughly plus or minus ten percent of where projects like yours land.
Where do these numbers come from?
Completed Matson Signature Builders kitchens, at 2026 Arizona material and labour costs. Every figure the tool can show sits inside the $25,000 to $250,000 range already published on our kitchen cost page. The tool cannot show you a number we have not already published.
Do I have to give you my details to see the number?

What moves a kitchen number the most?
Whether the layout stays put. Leaving the sink, range and refrigerator roughly in place keeps plumbing, gas and heavy electrical where they are. Moving them means opening floors and walls and rerouting all three. After that it is cabinetry, which is usually the largest single line in the room.
Will somebody call me straight away?
Dan reads these himself and comes back personally, usually the same day. There is no call centre and no sales team, because there are only two of us and a field crew.
