When you call Matson Signature Builders, one of us answers. When you walk your job site, one of us is standing there. After more than twenty years, that has never changed, and we do not intend to change it.
Dan Matson
The builder you actually get.
Dan started this company in the West Valley more than twenty years ago, and he still runs every job himself. He is the one who walks your property before anything is drawn, the one who tells you what a lot or a wall is really going to cost, and the one who shows up when something needs a decision.
There is no project manager layer here, and no handing you off after the contract is signed. That is deliberate. It is slower to grow a company this way, and it is the only way Dan is willing to put his name on the work.
He holds an Arizona Dual Residential and Small Commercial license, ROC 336562, and he coordinates the same trade partners he has worked with for years rather than whoever is cheapest that month.
Jessica Matson
The reason nothing falls through.
Jessica runs everything that keeps a build from going sideways. Scheduling, selections, paperwork, permits, invoicing and the hundred small things that decide whether a project feels organized or chaotic to the family living through it.
If you have ever worked with a contractor who went quiet for two weeks, you already understand why this matters. Jessica is the reason you know what is happening on your house, and when.
She and Dan raised their family in these same communities. The people you meet on your project are the people whose name is on the company.

Tell people the truth about money
We publish our real price ranges on this website because you should not have to sit through a sales call to learn whether we are in your budget. If a project is not a fit, we would rather say so in the first ten minutes than the third week.
Show you what is behind the wall
Older Valley homes hide things. Failed plumbing, tired wiring, work that was never done right. When we open a wall and find a problem, we show you, explain the options and price it honestly. We will not close it back up over a problem to protect a number.
Finish what we start
Every homeowner in the Valley has heard the story about the contractor who stopped answering. Twenty years, one family, every project finished. That is the whole reputation, and it is the only one worth having.
Why we build
The work pays for something beyond the work.
This is a family business, and it is a business with a purpose behind it. What Matson earns goes toward the things we care about outside of construction, including helping people in our own community who are rebuilding their lives.
That is part of why we care what a project actually costs, and why we would rather protect a fair margin than win a job by shaving one. A healthy company can be generous. A struggling one cannot.
It is also why we treat your budget the way we would want ours treated.
